Job Overview

Position Overview: Asia Pacific Tennis is looking for an experienced and dynamic Sustainable Project Manager to lead our sustainability, health, and sports initiatives, with an emphasis on community engagement and environmental stewardship. This role is central to our long-term vision of expanding our influence beyond tennis, by integrating health-oriented products and sustainability into our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports science, health, and sustainability, with additional expertise in marketing and project management. Proficiency in Spanish, English, and Portuguese is essential, reflecting the diversity of our coaching staff and client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Sustainability and Innovation:

Develop and Implement Sustainability Programs: Lead initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact of our tennis operations, including innovative solutions for the management and recycling of tennis ball waste.

Health and Wellness Product Development: Oversee the creation of natural, health-oriented products such as energy drinks and supplements, tailored for tennis players and athletes, in alignment with our sustainability goals.

Community and Government Engagement: Develop and manage programs that engage the local community in sustainable practices through tennis and racquet sports. Work on proposing solutions to the local government for implementing sports and wellness programs that benefit the broader community.

Strategic Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement:

Identify and Engage Stakeholders: Utilize your extensive network to connect with stakeholders who can support our sustainability and health initiatives, including suppliers, environmental organizations, and government agencies.

Marketing and Brand Positioning: Collaborate with the marketing team to position Asia Pacific Tennis as a leader in sustainable sports and health solutions, developing campaigns that highlight our commitment to environmental and community well-being.

Partnership Development: Forge strategic partnerships with local and global organizations to advance Asia Pacific Tennis’s sustainability and health agenda, particularly in the areas of community programs and product innovation.

Project Management:

Oversee Health and Wellness Initiatives: Lead the development and implementation of health-focused programs, including the promotion of natural energy drinks and supplements for tennis players and athletes.

Environmental Impact Projects: Drive projects aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of our facilities, enhancing energy efficiency, and minimizing waste through innovative solutions.

Performance Monitoring: Implement metrics to assess the impact of sustainability and wellness initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management.

Expansion Vision:

5-Year Strategic Plan: Contribute to the development of a five-year strategic plan that expands Asia Pacific Tennis’s offerings to include a range of health and wellness products, and sustainability programs, responding to the increasing demand for eco-conscious and health-oriented solutions in sports.

Community Engagement Programs: Lead efforts to engage the local community through tennis and racquet sports events, promoting sustainability and wellness, and establishing Asia Pacific Tennis as a key partner to the local government in promoting healthy lifestyles.

Product Innovation: Oversee the development and commercialization of new health and wellness products, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term sustainability and community engagement goals.

Language and Communication:

Multilingual Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish, English, and Portuguese is required to effectively communicate with our diverse coaching staff and client base, and to build international partnerships.

Marketing and Public Relations: Use your marketing expertise to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation as a leader in sustainable sports practices and health products.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Degree in Sports Science, Health Sciences, Sustainability, or related fields, with additional qualifications in Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on sustainability, health, sports, and marketing.

Skills: Strong leadership, marketing, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive impactful projects.

Network: Extensive network within Asia and globally, particularly in sustainability, health, and sports.
